A detailed insight into Wollongong's taxis. The stories, faces and voices of our local taxi drivers are presented in a series of compelling profiles and articles. Redefining how we catch cabs.
My partner is a Wollongong Taxi driver and i know first hand how many hours he has to work to make a living jyst so we can live comfortably. Not only do we hardly see each other as if he isnt at work he is sleeping getting feady to start his next shift, sometimes is very hard on him and our relationship , but we soldier on as what else can you do.
Thank you so much for your comment, it's great to get feedback. Please feel free to read my other articles and share with others so we can improve the lifestyle of taxi drivers and their families.
My partner also drives a Wollongong Taxi, and we are in the same situation, he works night shift and sleeps during the day. Im horrified of some of the stories he tells me and i worry all the time that he finishes his shift safely. I see first hand on how hard he has to work so we can live comfortably and it does wear him down. I also agree with the other comment that it is hard on our relationships as well . Will it ever improve for our partners, we can only wait and see if this brilliant article has any effect, i hope the managers if Wollongong Taxi take the time to read it.
Thank you for your input, I really appreciate any feedback on the articles.
Hopefully this website will draw attention to the problems in the taxi industry and bring about some positive change. Please share this page so that it can get to the people that need to read it.
